Do not second guess giving this place a try!! I initially came in to try their blue crab pasta but unfortunately it was crossed off the menu, hopefully just temporary. I ended up getting the Ishiyaki (stone grilled) Chicken Bowl.
Definitely was a great choice. Full of flavor, fresh, and the chicken to rice ratio was more than up to par. The plus side to having the stone fired bowl was that it kept the food nice and hot from first bite to last. I recommend getting a side of spicy mayo to kick it up a notch.

Definitely will be coming back. Chae was really sweet and welcoming!

Toward the end of my meal I said, "on my god, someone make me stop eating!"

I had Muraya special dish, which comes in a super hot stone bowl filled with rice, meat and onion and their special sauce. The food is already cooked but the hot bowl fries the rice a bit sticky crisp and the onions caramelize.

This is as good as it gets.

BEST SUSHI. I haven't written a review in forever, but I couldn't resist with this place because it's just THAT good. My friend is obsessed with Muraya so I went for the first time yesterday.

I had the Muraya Chirashi Oke and the Muraya Special Roll. The quality is amazing but still super affordable -- which makes the best go-to spot for any meal. To top it all off, the customer service was prime.

It was the perfect dinner experience overall and I am now obsessed!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and was seated  quickly. They have ~4 tables inside, a few tables outside and some near the sidewalk. We ordered the sashimi combo ($20) and the tonkatsu plate ($17) to share. We also got complimentary miso soup and salad, though not sure which dish they came out with. The sashimi plate was really delicious and the fish tasted fresh. It comes with 8 pieces of sashimi (albacore, yellowtail, tuna or salmon), 4 pieces of sushi and fried tempura. I was less impressed by the tonkatsu plate. I expected more meat than just 6 small pieces of fried pork. The dish was cooked well and had nice flavor, just a small portion for the price you are paying. I would recommend sticking to fish when dining here as the other items are pricy and in my opinion, not worth getting.

Looking at the menu, they seemed to have pretty food lunch specials Mon-Fri.

Parking is easy to find on larchmont or in the neighborhood one street over.

Great place for sushi. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Nothing is more important than freshness when it comes to fish.

Our party of 2 made a reservation but they didn't look too busy when we arrived. It's not very big, so I'd recommend calling ahead if you can. We started with the Miso Soup. Then had the Salmon Skin Salad. The flavor and crispy Salmon skin was great. I also liked that they added seaweed salad to it. A must try item off their menu. We also had the Spicy Tataki Roll (Spicy Tuna) and some Shishimi (mix of Salmon and Tuna) served over rice and sides of pickled greens. The I absolutely loved the Shishimi. There's a huge variety of pickled sides n the bowl as well, including seaweed salad. This was just the perfect amount of food for 2 people.

Service was fast and friendly. I'm guessing that the woman was an owner of the restaurant. Items are reasonably priced here. If you're looking for a quiet place for great sushi then this is the place to go to.

Street metered parking on Larchmont. Free after 8pm. Also some free parking lots in the area.
